Why this exists

Giving out a phone number you cannot take back.

To reach someone once, you often hand over a number you keep for years. APOUL Relay is being built so that connecting with someone does not require that.

What it does

What it does.

01

Connect without a phone number

Reaching someone should not mean giving them a number you cannot withdraw.

02

Send and receive

Send, receive, read. The things a messaging app has to do, done without clutter.

03

Privacy at the centre

How messages and personal data are handled sits at the centre of the design. The specifics go here once they are fixed.

04

Simple to use

A screen that goes straight to the point of getting in touch, rather than a list of features.

When you would use it

Situations, not features.

Someone you would rather not give your number to

A one-off exchange, or a transaction, without handing over a personal number.

Keeping work and life apart

One device, but separate ways in.

Something that must not get buried

A message you want to be sure actually arrives.

How it goes

The basic flow.

You should be able to guess the next step without reading a manual.

    Data and trust

What is not written here yet.

The encryption method, what is stored, the supported devices and the price are not decided, so they are not described on this page. They will be added as they are fixed.
